Advanced Methods of Physiological System Modeling
Volume II (1989)
by Vasilis Z. Marmarelis, Ph.D.

This volume is the second in a series of publications sponsored by the Biomedical Simulations Resource (BMSR) that reports on recent research developments in the area of physiological systems modeling and analysis of physiological signals. As in the first volume of this series, the work reported herein is concerned with the development of advanced methodologies and their novel application to problems of biomedical interest, with emphasis on nonlinear aspects of physiological function. This volume contains 16 articles that report results in the study of nonlinear dynamics in the context of physiological systems. These articles cover several diverse topics ranging in scope from methodological issues to quantitative interpretations of intriguing aspects of physiological function.
